2010 Car Design Trends

In the current Geneva Auto Show, cars on displays have significant differences from those that were on shown ten years ago. Car manufacturers have made major changes in the appeals of the cars they are manufacturing providing a glimpse on how the classic sedan will no longer be the dominant car-type it once was.

Car designs are more holistic with all of their components integrated more seamlessly. The most significant trends is the way front and rear lamps bleed into the surrounding body panels with its shape being defined more by the shapes of the surrounding elements and some of its corners bleeding into thin strands that reach out of the main light graphic.

Brands such as BMW, Mercedes Benz and Audi, are growing their range of cars with new body-types that are alternatives to the sedan.
